Ex-Lawmaker Gets 6 Months In Jail for COVID-19 Relief Fraud

Former state Rep. Joe Harding was sentenced to a six-month stay in federal prison for defrauding a coronavirus relief program. So reports NBC News.

rainbow gf47d805c5 640Harding, who sponsored the state’s controversial “Don’t Say Gay” law, pleaded guilty to wire fraud, making false statements and money laundering after improperly collecting more than $150,000 in pandemic-related small business loans. Harding resigned in December as a result of the charges levied against him.
