U.S. District Judge Arthur Tarnow Leaves Behind Distinguished Legacy as Indigent Advocate, Jurist  

U.S. District Judge Arthur Tarnow has died after a decade’s long career advocating for indigents and overseeing high-profile cases from the bench. So reports the Detroit News.

gavel 3577254 1920Several landmark cases Tarnow oversaw included sex discrimination, Civil Rights and abortion law. Prior to his appointment to the federal bench, Tarnow spent decades representing indigent defendants after graduating from Wayne State University Law School in the mid-1960s.
