Why Was Body Cam Footage Withheld from Media During Autistic Man’s Arrest: Cincy Police Union

The Cincinnati police union responded to a lawsuit accusing two officers of improperly using their Tasers to subdue and arrest Brandon Davis, a Black man who has autism. So reports Cincinatti.com.

Police siren blue light 4165414 640.jpegAccording to the response, the union questions why the lawsuit left out relevant facts pertaining to the arrest and raises issues with Davis’ attorneys’ decision to withhold body camera footage from the 2019 incident from the media. Davis was acquitted of resisting arrest, jaywalking and being in a park after dark. His attorneys allege he was stopped for “no reason other than he happened to be a Black man walking at night.”
