McLemore, who was arrested after allegedly pulling the hair of an emergency room nurse, died as a result of “multiple organ failure due to refusal to eat or drink with altered mental status due to untreated schizophrenia,” per the coroner’s report. The lawsuit alleges a violation of the Indiana man’s 14th Amendment rights.
