Benjamin L. Crump College of Law Makes History with New Moniker  

St. Thomas University will rename its law school after Benjamin L. Crump, marking the first time in U.S. history a law school will be named for an acting Black attorney. So reports USA Today.

Ben CrumpAs such, the Benjamin L. Crump College of Law was dedicated at a ceremony featuring David A. Armstrong, the president of St. Thomas University, who said the move is aimed at “building bridges between civil rights advocates and law enforcement.” Crump has represented the families of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor, among many other high-profile individuals.
