Uvalde Massacre Survivor Lays Groundwork for Gun Manufacturer Lawsuit  

Speech pathology clerk Emilia “Amy” Marin, a survivor of the Robb Elementary school mass shooting, is taking legal action against gun manufacturer Daniel Defense in what is believed to be the first legal filing related to the massacre. So reports NPR.

gun g2da07ea8e 640Marin, who is not yet suing the company, is seeking to compel the manufacturer to “sit for a deposition, as well as to produce materials related to its website, profits, lobbying, sales and marketing of AR-15-style rifles.” Under Texas law, parties are permitted to begin the collection of evidence in anticipation of a lawsuit under the state’s Rule 202.
