Man Gets $450K After Workplace Birthday Party Triggered Panic Attack

Kevin Berling, a former employee of lab testing company Gravity Diagnostics, was awarded $450,000 after suing the company for throwing him a birthday party. So reports The Washington Post.

cupcakes g4acd1888c 640Berling said he requested the company not celebrate his birthday due to severe anxiety associated with it, but a communication error led to a party, panic attack and subsequent firing. The company is planning to appeal the ruling and argues the case should have been tossed before the trial started.
