Georgetown Law Dean Puts Ilya Shapiro on Leave Amid Tweet Controversy  

Georgetown Law dean William Treanor announced Ilya Shapiro, who recently took a position at the school’s Center for the Constitution, will be placed on administrative leave. So reports the National Review.

twitter 2430933 1280As such, Treanor said an investigation into a number of tweets Shapiro made regarding racial considerations with respect to Supreme Court nominations will be conducted. Shapiro’s comments drew sharp criticism from the student body and a number of students have called for his immediate termination from his position.
