Halloween Terror Victims Sue New York City, State for $600M

Victims of the Halloween bicycle-path terrorist attack are suing New York City and the state for more than $600 million. So reports The New York Post.

Two cyclists were killed by drunken drivers prior to the attack and the victims said authorities were aware the path was vulnerable, yet sat on their hands. The Department of Homeland Security also issued a warning in 2010 about the dangers of terrorists using vehicles.

A day after the attack, workers installed concrete barriers at dozens of locations along the West Side Highway. A representative from the city said the notices will be reviewed, and no comment was provided by a state spokesman.
