Woman Fired for Installing Air Fresheners at Work, Points to ADA in Complaint

The state of Indianapolis is being sued by former court official Amber Bridges who said she was terminated after installing air fresheners to mitigate a co-worker’s body odor. So reports the Associated Press.

The federal suit alleges Bridges was fired for creating a hostile work environment after her coworker complained. According to the lawsuit, installing the air fresheners prompted other employees to follow suit.

Based on her relationship with the co-worker, Bridges claims her firing is unlawful under the Americans with Disabilities Act, as she says her co-workers body odor is a “protected disability.”
