SCOTUS to Weigh in on Legal Sports Betting

The United States Supreme Court will decide the future of sports betting, as the 1992 Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act will come under the microscope. So reports ESPN.

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is challenging the NCAA, NFL and other professional leagues with the hopes of making sports betting legal in the state’s casinos and racetracks. A win could pave the way for other states.

Some sports leagues are concerned legalized gambling could harm the integrity of the competitions. However, NBA commissioner Adam Silver said he supports regulating sports betting.
