Trans Troops Can Still Serve After Ban Blocked

A federal judge blocked the White House ban on transgendered troops, stating the policy likely violates the equal protection clause. So reports The New York Times.

The ban was set to take effect in March of next year. The justice department is evaluating the ruling, which could be appealed. The lawsuit was filed on behalf of five transgender women in the Coast Guard, Air Force and Army.
