Snowden Tweets His Take on Arrest of NSA Contractor

Former analyst and controversial Russian asylee Edward Snowden, who reportedly exposed government surveillance programs in 2013, questioned the charges facing a National Security Agency contractor accused of stealing secrets. So reports Politico.

Snowden said it’s noteworthy the contractor, Harold Martin, is not being charged for violating the Espionage Act; a charge Snowden himself faces. Both Snowden and Martin worked at Booz Allen Hamilton, but Snowden tweeted more information is needed before parallels can be drawn.

Martin was charged with "felony theft of government information and misdemeanor unauthorized retention of classified information," according to the article.
