Convict Never Told to Report to Jail Taken In 13 Years Later

A Missouri appeals court must decide whether a convicted armed robber who was sentenced to 13 years behind bars in 2000—and spent those 13 years living the life of a free, model citizen after he never received instructions to report to prison—can be forced to serve his sentence now that the Missouri Department of Corrections has finally discovered the clerical error that let him slip through the cracks for so many years.
