Mistake 911 Call Leads Cops to Meth Cooks

An accidental call to 911 led Florida police to an active meth lab in Deltona. So reports the Sunshine State’s Fox 13 News.

When a 911 operator in Volusia County answered a call, no one on the other end responded to her greeting. She did, however, hear the bubbling sound of something cooking and voices discussing drugs.

Using cell phone location data, police arrived at the property where the call originated: a shed with an open window through which a methamphetamine-making operation could be seen in full use. Three people on the premises were arrested and charged with manufacture of methamphetamine and possession of methamphetamine, both felonies.
