Trayvon Martin Case Prosecutor Is Unethical: Critics

Angela Corey, the prosecutor who failed to secure a conviction in the highly controversial Trayvon Martin case, has many vocal critics who claim she regularly overcharges defendants and is more interested in making a name for herself than in seeking justice. So reports USA Today.

 

Harvard Law School professor Alan Dershowitz, for example, charges that Corey purposely omitted, from charging documents, the fact that George Zimmerman, the man accused of killing Martin, had sustained injuries during a struggle with Martin. Dershowitz says that Corey often compromises her professional responsibilities in an effort to pursue or secure high-profile convictions. Corey's supporters, however, paint a picture of a passionate advocate.
