Blogger Nabs $345K Settlement After Arrest for Photographing OD Scene

Avi Adelman, a photojournalist and blogger, won a $345,000 settlement from the Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) system after being arrested for taking pictures of someone being treated for a drug overdose. So reports PetaPixel.

Adelman claimed he was illegally arrested for taking the photos. The incident took place on DART property and Adelman was asked to leave several times before being arrested for criminal trespass. The charge was dropped shortly after the arrest and a lawsuit predicated on constitutional rights was filed.
