Female Engineer: Google Paid Me Less, Demoted Me for Griping

Ulku Rowe, an engineering director at Google, is suing the company for allegedly paying her less and denying her a promotion because she is a woman. So reports the Mercury News.

Rowe, who was once a managing director for JPMorgan and now working in Google’s Cloud unit, also claims she was demoted for complaining about her treatment. Google responded to the lawsuit saying it investigated Rowe’s complaint and “did not substantiate her concerns.” Google is also fighting a lawsuit from four other women making similar allegations.
