Michael Cohen Sues Trump Org for $1.9M in Legal Fees
Michael Cohen, former lawyer to President Donald Trump, is suing the Trump Organization for $1.9 million in legal bills. So reports Associated Press.
The lawsuit filed in New York alleges the organization ceased funding Cohen’s defense after he began cooperating with prosecutors investigating Trump’s relationship with Russia and the president’s personal life.
In addition to legal fees, Cohen is suing for a separate $1.9 million he was ordered to forfeit after being sentenced for his participation in purported criminal undertakings made at the behest of Trump.
