American Airlines Settles Collusion Lawsuit, Denies Wrongdoing

American Airlines agreed to pay $45 million to settle a lawsuit alleging the airline colluded to keep airfares high and limit capacity of flights. So reports the Los Angeles Times.

Southwest Airlines already agreed to $15 million to settle the lawsuit, but, like American, rejected claims of foul play. Southwest, American, Delta and United were each accused of conspiring to limit seats and raise prices even as fuel costs dropped.
