Family of Dead DNC Staffer Sues Fox News Over Conspiracy Story

The family of Seth Rich, a Democratic National Committee staffer who likely died during a botched robbery, is suing Fox News for proliferating a baseless conspiracy theory relating to Rich’s death. So reports CNN.

The network, one of its reporters and a Texas businessman have been named in the suit for their role in the story’s publication. According to the now-retracted story, Rich was allegedly murdered for leaking sensitive political emails. Fox carried out an investigation into the story, but no disciplinary actions have been announced, the story reads.
