‘Whistleblower’ Suit Filed After DoE Photographer Fired

Former Department of Energy photographer Simon Edelman filed a "whistleblower" lawsuit alleging he was fired after leaking photos of a private meeting between a significant donor to President Donald Trump and Department of Energy Secretary Rick Perry. So reports National Public Radio.

Edelman took pictures of Perry and the CEO of the Ohio-based mining company Murray Energy, Robert Murray, at a March 29 meeting. Edelman said he was placed on administrative leave the day after his photographs were published and his equipment, laptop and hard drives were confiscated.
