Yahoo Facing Class Action Lawsuits After 2014 Breach

A series of class action lawsuits have been filed against Yahoo! Inc. after an apparent security breach that impacted close to 500 million accounts. So reports Law.com.

There have been at least six suits after a 2014 "state-sponsored" hack involving the names, email addresses, passwords, telephone numbers and birthdays of Yahoo! account holders. The suits were filed in state and federal courts in California and Illinois. The plaintiff's expressed concerns with the amount of time it took for Yahoo! to identify the breach, as well as the impact the breach had on users personal finances.
