Boehner to Join Squire Patton Boggs

Former Speaker of the House John Boehner is joining law and lobby “powerhouse” Squire Patton Boggs. So reports The Washington Post.

Boehner stepped down from heading the House last year. Boehner will be a “strategic adviser” at the firm, but will not register to lobby. Instead of lobbying Congress, he will advise clients on “global business development.” It is unclear if he will have an equity stake in the firm and his start date has yet to be announced.
