Approximately 62.1% of all American lawyers work in a law firm comprised of one to five attorneys, according to findings revealed in Clara N. Carson’s The Lawyer Statistical Report: The U.S. Legal Profession in 2005 (released in 2012). Despite that, solo and small firm attorneys account for more than 90% of all discipline complaints, according to Leslie C. Levin, who penned The Ethical World of Solo and Small Law Firm Practitioners.
