Kennedy-family member Michael Skakel’s 2002 conviction for the 1976 murder of his neighbor was overturned last month because a Connecticut judge held that Skakel’s attorney, the television legal commentator Mickey Sherman, did an inexcusably poor job defending his client despite being paid more than $1.2 million to do the job.
