A Texas woman, who was sent home from a hospital emergency room following a devastating misdiagnosis, is finding it difficult to secure a legal representation, according to a recent New York Times article.

The Illinois Attorney Disciplinary Commission filed a complaint on Jan. 8 against a patent and trademark attorney whose blog criticizes the state’s probate system and negatively describes court-appointed guardians, whom she identifies by name, according to a recent article in the National Law Journal.

Data from 179 large law firms revealed an average profit growth of 4.3% and 3.6% last year, according to a report card from Citi Private Bank.
