The new list puts Yale and Stanford’s law schools at the top of the list, followed by other notable programs like the University of Chicago, University of Pennsylvania, Duke, Harvard and New York University. At the heart of the quarrel were concerns from some programs that the previous rankings discouraged schools from prioritizing “need-based aid” and encouraging lower-paying public service jobs for its graduates.
