The House of Representatives voted 229 to 202 to hold Steve Bannon, a supporter of ex-President Donald Trump, in criminal contempt after he refused to testify regarding communications he had with Trump. So reports Politico.
Nine Republicans were among those who decided to sanction Bannon for defying a subpoena to answer questions related to the Jan. 6 Capitol riot. The U.S. attorney’s office in Washington, D.C., will decide on whether or not to prosecute the former advisor.
