Lawsuit Claiming Prosecutor Fudged Numbers to Win Murder Conviction Gets New Life

A federal appeals court has revived a lawsuit from Conrad Truman, of Utah, who claims a prosecutor purposefully gave wrong measurements to get him convicted of murdering his wife. So reports KSL.

gunshot 1632387 640Truman said a prosecutor in the case “purposefully gave wrong measurements” with respect to the location of the body and the location of the gunshot that killed his wife in order to win a conviction. Initially, a lower court ruled the prosecutor was immune from the civil rights suit as it did not point to a “violation of constitutional rights,” although the higher court disagreed with that take.
