Little Surprise as Montana TikTok Ban Heads to Court

A cohort of five TikTok content producers filed a lawsuit aimed at overturning Montana’s ban of the app. So reports the Associated Press.

TikTokThe content creators said the first-of-its-kind law is unconstitutional as it violates their free speech rights. The bill was recently signed into law by Gov. Greg Gianforte as a way to protect Montana residents from alleged data harvesting by Chinese government operatives, but the complaint counters the state does not have purview over national security matters.
